Maryborough Camera Club

Club Competition Rules

All entrants must be a financial member of the Maryborough Camera Club Inc. to enter into the Clubs monthly competitions, End of Year competitions and Portfolio competition.

New members will be allocated to either A or B Grade depending on their expertise upon joining the Club. There will be no separate section for Junior members. Junior members may enter all competitions and compete as B Grade.

B Grade members will be obliged to move to A Grade upon accumulating the highest points scored for the current year and at the discretion of the Committee.

Monthly Competition

All entries must:

  1. not have been used in a previous monthly competition; and

  2. be the work of the author.

1 point will be allocated for each image entered by an entrant

Please ensure the name of the image is no more than 15 characters long

End of Year Competition

The following categories will be awarded as part of the End of Year Competition to be judged and announced at the December competition meeting:-

All members will be able to select and enter 3 images/prints from the images/prints they have entered into the Clubs monthly competitions with the exception of theCandid on an Outing.

Throughout the years monthly competitions, points awarded will accumulate towards the following categories and winners announced at the December competition meeting:-

Portfolio

Alternatively, you may submit a collection of four images that explore or show four different aspects of the one subject. Ideally these images will be of different items that are connected in some way. For example, your portfolio may be 4 close-up images of similar parts of 4 different vintage cars. You must use one of the subjects provided from the 6 subjects listed.
